I love stage acting. When I first set foot on a stage years ago, I was hooked. Something about letting go of who you are and becoming instead an incarnation of the words penned by a playwright decades or even centuries ago ... it is just a very powerful feeling to me.

Performing an audiobook gives me that very same feeling. After reading the book and researching the characters, it's an amazing challenge to try to once again incarnate the author's words. But this time, my stage is the listener’s imagination.

As an audiobook performer, my goal is to bring life and vibrancy to an author's words the same way a stage actor does to a play. I want the listener to not just hear the words but to feel the story happening around them. It’s when they find this level of escape that they always come back for more. That’s all any actor could ask for.
